Energy-Efficient and Acoustically Insulating

If you can never seem to shut out the cold and regular double-glazed windows aren’t preventing heat loss in the way you’d like, our triple glazing offers a viable alternative that delivers A+ rated energy efficiency levels. Keeping you warm in the winter and comfortable during the summer means you’ll save money on energy bills throughout the year.

It’s not just keeping the heat in where triple-glazed windows excel. They also do a great job keeping unwanted noise out, too. This is because the third pane of glass and second air gap can better block sound waves that would otherwise be able to penetrate your home. If you live in a built-up area, our triple-glazed windows are an ideal solution to keep your home peaceful.

FAQs

Your Questions Answered

We know that choosing the right home improvement is never easy, so we’ve listed some of the most common questions about modern triple glazing to help you make the right choice.

Got a specific question? Ask our experts today!

What homes would benefit from triple glazed windows most?

If you live in a built-up area, a particularly cold climate or somewhere where you struggle to keep heated, triple-glazed windows are a good premium solution. Noise filtering, in particular, is a chief benefit.

Can triple-glazed windows add value to the home?

Yes, due to the unique noise-proofing qualities and A+ rated energy efficiency, triple glazed windows have been proven to increase the value of homes.

What is the difference between double glazing and triple glazing?

Double glazing consists of two glass panes with an air or gas gap in between, while triple glazing consists of three glass panes with two air or gas gaps in between. Triple glazing typically offers higher insulation and energy efficiency than double glazing, as it reduces heat loss even further. However, triple glazing also costs more than double glazing, and may not be suitable for all types of windows or properties.

In what areas do you install triple-glazed windows?

At Tyneside Home Improvements, we install triple-glazed windows across North East England and surrounding areas. We serve all the major cities in the area including Newcastle, Sunderland, Middlesbrough, and Durham. We also work extensively across all towns and villages in Northumberland, Tyne and Wear, North Yorkshire, and County Durham.

How does triple glazing work?

Triple glazing works by creating two air gaps between three glass panes that help insulate against heat transfer between varying temperature zones – outside and inside temperature. These three panes of glass are separated by a sealed vacuum filled with Argon gas, which is a poor heat conductor and prevents warm air from being lost from your home.
